However, I doubt that it is the sidebar that is causing your machine to misbehave. Try removing any suspicious gadgets first and see if that helps. Side bar question
I really would have thought an autohide function should be a standard feature with any sort of side/top/bottom/task/whatever bar, but maybe that's just me. Personally I prefer to keep it turned off as I have yet to find a gadget that us really, genuinely useful to me. But again, that's just me. YMMV, and all that.

I'm assuming Sidebar is stored some previous information via RAM, but I really can't see this information being necessary at all. Windows Vista Sidebar problems
So, I want to move a gadget to the bottom of the sidebar. I have 6 gadgets on the sidebar starting from the top. I just want to move the 6 one down to the bottom. Everytime I go to move it, it just goes back up to the bottom of the 5th gadget. I don't want it on my desktop either, I want it on the sidebar.
